On November 15, 2023, a round table on the occasion of the President’s Day of the Republic of Tajikistan and the 31 anniversary of the historic session of the XVI Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan was held at the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
A round table was opened by the director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, doctor of philosophy, professor, associate member of NAST, Khayriddin Usmonzoda, congratulated the participants and noted that according to 2nd Article of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On Holidays», which was adopted on May 14, 2016, 16th November in Tajikistan is celebrated as the » President’s Day of the Republic of Tajikistan».
The reason why such a great holiday falls on this day is that it was on this historic day, November 16, 1994, that the beloved Leader of our nation, Emomali Rahmon, took the oath as the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for the first time in front of the people and the country. In the same year, according to the first Constitution of independent Tajikistan, which was adopted by the people, the form of administration of Tajikistan was changed to a presidential republic. Fortunately, the transition to the presidential system not only led to the salvation of the state and the nation, but also became a factor in the stable development of all spheres of public administration, including economy, politics, culture, education and other spheres.
Celebrating the President’s Day of the Republic of Tajikistan means understanding the key importance of this state institution in the protection and development of our national statehood, as well as a celebration of appreciation and gratitude for all those high state, national and civil values, which the President of the Republic of Tajikistan acts as a constitutional guarantor.
Then the round table continued under the chairmanship of doctor of political sciences, professor, deputy director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Parviz Muhammadzoda. He noted that the establishment and celebration of the President’s Day in the Republic of Tajikistan is worthy of the loyalty, recognition and welcome of everyone, and it is to pay tribute to the status and rank, honest work and popularity of the Honorable Emomali Rahmon among all the people of the country. The Honorable Leader of the nation, Emomali Rahmon, as a political leader, with his rich experience and high leadership skills, stabilized the fundamental foundations of the new tajik statehood. In particular, the bravery and political positions of the Leader of the nation have become the representative of the civilized tajik nation. The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, is the representative of political independence, the guarantor of ensuring the rule of law, and the leader and defender of the vital interests of the country, whose respect and recognition is national honor and recognition.
Then, the chief specialist of the Department of Analysis and Forecasting of Foreign Policy of the Center, Jahongiri Mahmadzoir, spoke on the topic of «The Role of Emomali Rahmon in making the XVI Session of the Supreme Council fateful» and Jamshed Salikhov, the leading specialist of the Department of analysis of macroeconomic issues of the Center, gave a report on the topic «The role of the Leader of the nation in the implementation of the country’s strategic goals.»
In the discussion section Rustamjoni Saidulloi Quzratzoda, candidate of economic sciences, deputy head of the Department of analysis of macroeconomic issues of the Center, expressed his opinion on the international recognition of the personality of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
In this way, it was noted at this round table that the election of Honorable Emomali Rahmon as the President of the Republic of Tajikistan gave the presidential state institution a great spirit and meaning, and turned the presidency into an institution that saves the state and the nation. It was the Leader of the nation who managed to use all the historical and international experience and the legal and political capacity of the presidential institution to turn this form of governance into a model of our national salvation. In addition, the activity of the great Leader of the nation as the President of the Republic of Tajikistan improved this way of state management and created a new school of national governance of the tajiks, which today has gained international recognition with its advantages and characteristics.
The director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khayriddin Usmonzoda, concluded the round table and stated that the leadership and staff of the Center will continue to make efforts to implement the wise policy of the Founder of peace and national unity, the great Leader of the nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
